Small small world

Today in TCC I was serving these two men in blazers, and I found out they were the bosses of Candy Empire! Talked to them quite alot, cos they asked ALOT of questions like my salary, where am I schooling and even where I stay?! It was quite interesting.. and one of them even asked me to come over and work for him at candy empire instead ‘cos the salary is abit higher.

And then after work when I was going about my MOM job, I received an SMS from Seekit asking me whether I talked to two businessmen in TCC.. and I immediately thought about those customers. Called her back, and she told me that her boss at Millenia TCC was talking about this “very short and cute” girl he met at Airport TCC, and then she asked whether it’s Serene and he got all excited because yes that “very short and cute” girl is me. -.- Then Seekit told me that he said I could come work for him at Candy Empire anytime lol.

Such a smallllll world!!!

Good day

It’s a good day today (:

Got good feedback from customers. Colleagues were nice today. One angmo customer recognized me from 2 weeks ago, though I didn’t remember him =X but it was nice of him to remember so.

Bumped into Lynn, the HR secretary from CGH. Asked her to keep a lookout for temp admin jobs at CGH for me. Strange, just when I was talking about CGH yesterday… Life works in mysterious ways.

Met up with Mingjie after so long to edit SOS video. It was fun! (:

So that’s why it’s a good day today (:

Crazy Saturday

Crazy crazy day. Out since 10am, back at 2am. -.-

10am-12pm: Sec1 Maths tuition for Shaun. Really cute and guai boy! (: Yay made $45 bucks today by teaching algebra lol

12-1pm: Lunch at Tamp round market with parents

1-430pm: Biz Law meeting in school ( xiongggg. stressss. stupid doctrine of infection )

5-630pm: Youth fellowship games and sharing

7-10pm: BS ‘cher John’s baby Celeste shower and dinner ( great time of catching up and Celeste is so so cute and hairy(: )

1030pm-2am: Supper with Huiqi, Don, Timothy and Norvin ( frog leg porridge, oyster, stingray @ geylang, then rocher beancurd omg yum great food mans….and great to have an emo chauffeur =p )

2-3am: Chionging bible study homework =x

But at least enjoyed myself alot today!

Now for the super sian part. Break is ending. And endless ASSIGNMENTS. PRESENTATIONS. URGH.

I love me tuesdays

Tuesdays somehow brightens up the rest of the dreary mugging week.

Because of…. mentoring!

Although at first we’d dread and dread mentoring because we’re all so shag and tired and all after that morning’s lesson, but really as Hoying says, once we get into the mentoring workshop, it’s really really enjoyable. (:

The kids are all so lovable and so obedient. Not “at-risk” AT ALL. I really don’t know why they are in this program.. they are all so motivated to learn and study! I feel as if I’m learning from them, as much or even more than they learn from us. Really love each and everyone of them. (: I think I’ll really miss them when the whole workshop is over.

They have really grown so much since the first meeting, especially Yeh Cheng. The first day she didn’t even want to say her name, but now she wants to contribute so actively to the discussions. But I feel that Mark is still shy and not contributing as much as he can – I know he is a smart guy as I have spoken to him personally before. Oh wells just gotta take note of him and Chun Lin.. They are actually very smart and they have lots of ideas to contribute.. just that they are too shy.

Anyway. Sigh! 2 mid-terms this week. Econs on Thursday (which I heard its a killer), and Business Law on Saturday which I haven’t started studying at all. =S All the best to me and everyone mugging for their midterms/quizzes/tests! (:
